Qatar’s vibrant tourism sector has assembled a line up of world class events expected to strengthen the market and boost the economy. The line up will feature real estate, construction, technology, hospitality, travel, health and sports events.

The strategy supports Qatar`s goal of welcoming over six million visitors a year by 2030. Moreover, it aims to increase the contribution of the travel and tourism sector to Qatar’s gross domestic product while doubling job opportunities.

Building on the successfull FIFA World Cup 2022, Qatar is preparing to host the 2023 AFC Asian Football Cup in January 2024 (delayed due to Covid). Qatar is also organising the Under 23 AFC Asian Football Cup 2024 sanctioned by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
